Products, Products, Products!!!

We all love products as naturals and transitioners. In the search for the perfect regimen we try many different products. Have you turned into a product junkie? What are you buying?

When I was relaxed I never thought about buying a million products, I always had my set products and just bought whatever was on sale, lol. Since I've decided to go natural, my love for products has grown and I want to try eveything out. I guess that's what happens when you decide to care for you hair whether natural or relaxed. You have to try out products to see what your hair loves, right?

  1. I think I have bought just about everything under the sun...Oyin, Afroveda, Bee Mine, Herbal Essences, Aussie Moist, Qhemet Biologics, Karen's Body Beautiful, Darcy's Botanicals, Organix, Cantu, plus more. I have found that not all of these products work for me so I will not be repurchasing some of them.

  2. I have turned into a product junkie, but have challenged myself to use up my current stash. Now the only thing I will buy is conditioner for our co-washes. I have tried Carol's Daughter and Qhemet Biologics. I do love QB's detangling ghee for my youngest daughter's hair so I will continue to buy that for her until I find something local and cheaper. And I fell in love with Moisture Maniac Conditioner so we use that now in place of HH Hello Hydration. Right now I have to moisturizers I have to finish up and decide which one works best for our hair. Oh, and we always have oils on hand, ie. coconut, evoo, and castor.

  3. @Carlotta - I just recently purchased JoJoba Oil since I've heard so many great things about it. I figured I would mix it with my shea butter. I've been good on the product buying recently. I've decided just like you to use my current stash before I buy anything else.

  4. I don't use any products with cones, parabens, or sulfates. Because those ingredients have been known to be harmful. That REALLY narrows it down a bit, and keeps me from buying too much. Jojoba oil is great. and it's excellent to whip your shea butter with. I love mixing own products too! I like washing with AnitaGrant's Babassou Amla Shampoo Bar, and using Giovanni Smooth As Silk condish to detangle, and even as a leave-in sometimes. My favorite styling product right now is Be Mine Bee Hold Hair Butter.
